SLV Global provided me with a unique opportunity to experience mental health in a different cultural context, and gave me the confidence to run a session for various groups of individuals. The SLV global is a trust worthy charity organisation, it is founded by a group of psychology graduates since 2010, they aim to give the most resources to people who suffer from mental illness, and raise the awareness of mental health. SLV Global Bali (July 2018) My time in Bali was the most insightful and interesting adventure I have had in my life so far. I experienced such an incredible and unique culture, as well as learning from my time working with autistic children, schizophrenic adults, Geriatrics, patients of a Balinese psychiatric hospital and others with a range of SLV.Global Bali Placement Summer 2019. As such, I am really proud to have been accepted on the SLV Global Bali Placements Programme which allows me the opportunity to work as a volunteer abroad with individuals experiencing mental health issues.
